POST Stitch:

An Exhibition of Contemporary Stitched Work

POST Stitch is a nation-wide textile exhibition, initiated by Lopdell House Gallery involving over 250 textile and letter enthusiasts of all ages from across the country. The exhibition brings together words, letters, stitching, fabric and paper in a colourful collection of 358 postcard size pieces and 26 large quilt size works from some of New Zealand’s best contemporary textile artists.

In POST Stitch you’ll be surprised to discover just how much stitching is going on out there. From the traditional quilt made for a special family member, to three-dimensional textile sculpture – from heartfelt stories crossing generations, to humorous and subversive texts, POST Stitch covers a broad range of innovative and expressive textiles made especially for this exciting exhibition.
