On the first Wednesday of every month, gallery staff give a free exhibition talk and tour for older folk and friends who enjoy a casual chat about art. Afterwards, why not visit our Lopdell Precinct neighbours including The Upstairs Gallery, enjoy the views from the roof of historic Lopdell House, grab a coffee and a bite at Deco Eatery next door, or make a day of it and see McCahon House in nearby French Bay.
July's tour explores the fascinating exhibition Dark Horizons, presenting three solo artists exploring their state of global anxiety through the lens of Muslim migrant communities in Australia.
In August, we'll look at Ngā Tohu O Te Kawerau a Maki, an exhibition looking at the people, stories and treasures of the local Iwi, Te Kawerau a Maki, to remember and celebrate their heritage as they work toward a better future.
