"The Evocation of Worlds" by Ruth Ige gathers together a new body of work that extends the artist's ongoing exploration of Blackness, African diaspora, speculative imagination, and ancestral presence. Across a serious of paintings, figures emerge and dissolve through fields of indigo, violet, shadow, and light – never fully fixed, never entirely knowable.

The group show The Crackling of the Sun builds on mythic memories and speculative storytelling. Bringing together works shaped by mythologies, Sci-Fi chronologies, proposed futures and various forms of worldmaking, the exhibition moves through constellations and imaginaries, where time fractures, loops and returns through resonances and interruptions.
