OTHER EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

Te Uru welcomes visits from students of all levels and abilities.

CORPORATE TEAMBUILDING WORKSHOPS

Identity Mandala
Co-create a large-scale collaborative mandala in a beautiful studio that looks into the surrounding Titirangi bush. Learn about different types of surface painting techniques while you explore your own identity and culture alongside your team kaupapa. We’ll combine symbols and text inside geometric shapes to highlight with pastels and paint, then sgraffito cold wax to complete. These brightly coloured geometric artworks will become a beautiful artwork to adorn your office with. Enjoy a platter of delicious treats while you collectively create, working in a relaxed and supportive environment. Let us know if you would like us to be a part of your next teambuilding day. We are flexible and can work with you to design a perfect day out.

EARLY CHILDHOOD

We now offer creative opportunities designed for groups from early childhood centres, from a guided gallery tour to a hands-on activity that relates to the current exhibitions. We offer a range of exciting media in a safe learning environment. For further information and enquires: education@teuru.org.nz

HIGH SCHOOLS

We welcome classes to visit the gallery for self guided tours but please make sure you book so you do not clash with another school booking. If you would like a guided tour of the gallery it is $2/student. At times we run specialist master classes for students through artist led programmes.

TE URU AND MCCAHON HOUSE MUSEUM TANDEM VISITS

If you’re coming to Te Uru, why not visit McCahon House Museum too – the cottage is only a 5-minute drive from the gallery. Students get to view contemporary art at Te Uru followed by a tour of the McCahon cottage in French Bay.
