Kathy barry’S homeworld
Homeworld features twelve watercolours by Auckland-based artist Kathy Barry, grouped with ceramics by Isobel Thom. Bold in colour and graphic in effect, Barry’s optical paintings reconsider our relationship to fields of energy and recall the utopian aspirations that have influenced the legacy of geometric abstraction.
During her artist talk, Barry will discuss her practice and some of the ideas that underpin her work in Homeworld.
Barry was artist-in-residence at McCahon House in 2012.
