Kerry ann lee: open studio

For Life should be simple and good, Kerry Ann Lee re-imagines the Learning Centre Gallery as an ‘avant-garden’ – a space to cultivate questions and concepts of home and belonging, and sow seeds for creative growth. Here, visitors are invited to create a planter made from twigs, paper and clay. The simplicity of the invitation belies its endless experimentation; what can a vessel, flower or plant look like? How can it capture your mood or imagination? How many different ways can you make a flower or plant? How do you get started and when do you stop? What else might grow, or take shape?

Open Studio is an opportunity to meet Wellington-based artist Kerry Ann Lee, who will be on site in the Learning Centre Gallery. Drop in between 11am and 3pm to experiment with materials and open up from scratch the possibilities of familiar forms.
